Beginning in November, all 5th grade students in Grand Rapids Public Schools will be reading this book and blogging about their reading experience. There will be questions posed to the students, posts written and shared from different classrooms and four "Great Days of Blogging". The final celebration will be held with a visit from the author in March 2016.

Esperanza so sweet as the wind flows through her hair she will always know that papas there shes brave and shes like a rose red for strong blooded Esperanza calm like the ocean breeze like waves is all you can here papa is a significant other to Esperanza Papa was here everyday light and the light he gave her was very bright.

Esperanza is a nice little girl she rich and loves having party's for her birthday and also loves getting doll for each of her birthday she is 1 now so she just got her 13 doll for her birthday
Esperanza is strong and sweet.She stands fearlss and will never be beat.Her mama got sick and her papa is gone .But she still has family and has never forgot to stay strong.

The reason why people make sacrifices for others is because sometimes stuff happens like you want it and somethings don't like when my grandpa, he was a officer, and he got shot and died.

Dear Marisol, I have moved to the United States with mama to get away from Tio Luis.He burned down our house and has tried to force mama into marrying him but mama said no.At first I did not like it down here in the United States because I did not know how to do any thing,but now I love it here.
