  3. The difference is that the train they took as children they weren't leaving they just went to look for things. And the other one takes them to another country to stay for their life.I am Jose from Dickinson Academy.

  4. The train ride that Miguel and Esperanza took when they were little kids was fancier. The train that Esperanza and Miguel took when they were fleeing was dirty and messy and full of peasents.

  6. Paris From,Dickinson Academy. The train ride that Miguel and Esperanza took when they were kids was fancier than the train ride they took to get to Las Angeles was dirty, nasty, messy and full of peasants.

  7. I am comparing and contrasting when Esperanza and Miguel were little on the train to when they were older escaping Tio Luis. When they were little it was different because they got to sit where people were happy, dressed nice, ate good looking food, rich also because they got to sit on seats that were soft leather that was because they were rich then.
The time when they were escaping they sat where people were sad, poor, ate not so good looking food, poorly dressed, and they sat on wooden benches.I found all of this on page 63 and 66.

  8. The things that are different from the train ride to Los Angeles from when they were younger is before they had tables with white linens and silver and crystal. Now they sit on hard wooden benches when they sat on soft leather seats. They had more money in the train ride for example, when Papa bought them the mangoes but now they need to save the money that they have. Now I am going to compare. Esperanza still is with Miguel. Also Esperanza was holding one of her parents hand each time she was on the train. Esperanza was looking out the windows both train rides. Esperanza was wearing a dress both times.

  9. I am comparing and contrasting the two train rides. The difference's between the first train ride and, the second train ride. The first train ride is fancy, has leather seat the car is fancy. The men and women dressed in their fancy hats and clothes but the second train ride they sat on wooden seats people were not wearing fancy hats and clothes they were peasants, unlike the rich people on the first ride. Now Im gonna compare them. Both of the train rides were when they were young. In the same way Esperanza and Miguel were on both of the train rides.

  10. I am comparing and contrasting Esperanza and Miguel's first train ride to their second train ride.In Esperanza and Miguel's first train ride they rode in a fancy car with fancy people and fresh air and they were rich. The tables covered in white linens set with silver and crystal and Esperanza was wearing a silk blue dress and Miguel all nice and clean with a bow tie on but now in contrast they have to get on a train that is the opposite of what Esperanza expected .Now they have to get on a train with wooden benches and peasants all around them. The floor littered with trash and it reeked of rotten fruit unlike the first train ride they have to wear old and dirty clothes and they had no money.I found that all pages 63 and 66.

  11. I'm going to compare and contrast the train ride Esperanza and Miguel took as younger children and the one they took from El Rancho de las Rosas. First, I'm going to contrast. They are different because when they were younger.
They were on a train with people who were rich and had fancy clothes, and hats. However, the El Rancho de las Rosas train had peasants with filthy faces, and clothing. El Rancho de las Rosas train had hard uncomfortable seats, but on the other hand the train they were on when they were younger had soft leather seats. On the train they were on when they were younger had food which was mangoes, however El Rancho de las Rosas had nothing to eat.
The same about both of the train rides is that Esperanza and Miguel have ridden on both of those trains.

  12. I am comparing and contrasting Esparanzas and Miguels train ride when they were kids to when they are older. The train ride Miguel and Esperanza took when they were kids they sat where all the important people sat, but the train ride they took when they were older they had to sit with dirty stinky people. The train ride they took as a kid they both had fancy clothes, unlike when they were older and wore dirty old clothes. When they were kids they had soft leather seats, but now they have hard wood benches. Also when they were kids they got served food although when they were older they did not get served anything. When they were kids they had a lot of money on the other hand when they were older they were broke.
The similarities they had was that they were on a train. In the same manner both Esparanza and Miguel were on doth train rides.

  13. I am comparing and contrasting the first train ride Esperanza and Miguel took as younger children. When Esperanza was little it was different. They got to sit where people were happy, dressed real nice, ate good food, and they also got to sit in on seats that was soft leather. They got to do these things because they were rich then. But things change after papa died they had to sit Where peasant people was and did not eat much food they were not dressed nicely and sat on hard wooden benches.

  14. I am comparing and contrasting the first ride and the second ride. The first ride is different from the second ride because on the first train there were crystal and sliver and leather seats with a fancy train with waiters.
On the second ride there were peasant. It was trash on the floor children without shoeS on. They are the opposite because on the first train there were kids with shoes second train didn't have shoes on. The first train had food good food but on in the second train there were rotting food.
In conclusion that's my compare and contrast blog about the first train and the second train.

  15. I'm comparing and contrasting two train trips. On page 36 Miguel is eight and Esperanza is five. Esperanza wears a beautiful blue silk dress and Miguel wears a bow tie and practically is shining. They hurried and escort them to their car. Esperanza still smelled like guavas. Although on page 67 there broke now Esperanza has to ride wooden benches. Three children, two boys and a girl, crowded near their mother on the wooden benches.

  16. I am going to compare and contrast the train from when Esperanza and Miguel were younger children and when they took the train from El Rancho de las Rosa.First, I am going to contrast. On the first train there were rich people unlike the second train they had peasants.Another difference is that on the first train the people were wearing fancy clothes and fancy hats but the second train they had dirty clothes and faces. On the first train they had soft leather seats although the second train has wooden seats.Another difference is that on the first train they ate at a dining car at little tables coverered in white linens and set with silver and crystal.
Now I am going to compare. They are alike because on both trains Esperanza and Miguel rode on both trains.Another thing that is alike is that both trains had transportation. One more same is that they both had people on them.

  17. I'm comparing and contrasting the two train rides Esperanza and Miguel took as kids.
The first train ride they took was exciting do to all the money but the second train ride they took was terrible do to the very little money. In the first train ride they road in fancy car with soft leather seats unlike the second train ride they road in a dirty car with hard wooden benches. The first train ride had nice wealthy people although the second train ride had nice poor people. In the first ride they wore elegant clothes but in the second ride they rag like clothes.
    Thats my compare and contrast.

  18. I am going to compare and contrast two different times
On the first trip they sat in the important people car, they sat on leather seat at tables with table cloth, also the people were dress nicely.
On the other hand the second trip they had to sit in on benches made of wood unlike the first trip, they had to sit with peasants that were not dressed nicely unlike the first trip
Both trips are alike because Esperanza and Miguel rode on both of them.

  19. The things that are different on the first train ride is that Esperanza and Miguel had to sit on soft and leather seats with dining car little tables covered in white linens and set with silver and crystal but on the other hand the second train ride the train didn't have soft leather seats it had wooden benches, like church pew facing each other. Also in the first ride the waiters were dressed fancy but on the opposite hand the other waiters had different outfits. In the same manner Esperanza and Miguel was excited to spend time together and have fun.

  20. The difference between the 2 trains is the first train it has rich people with there unique outfits and there pretty jewelry .The other train has peasants that have a dirty cart that smells like rank. Although the fancy train with the rich people have a smell of perfume instead of rank. These two trains are the same because they both get fed on the train. They are also the same by using the same transportation two go some where important. In the same way they both are people just not as wealthy as rich people.

  22. I'm comparing and contrasting two train rides. It all starts when Esperanza started off rich. Miguel and Esperanza were headed to the train and what they saw when they got into the train was amazing, there were leather seats that they sat on. Although that wasn't the best part of the train Esperanza was wearing a nice fancy blue dress. When they sat down the tables were covered in a white linens and set with silver crystals.Every thing is going great so far however there is a problem.

This is the part when they become rags. Since the fire Esperanza lost everything. So now they sit on wooden benches that are not comfortable at all, their outfits are not clean and they have tatters in them so far nothing is going so great. However their legs were chalky and they are not so clean.

On the other hand these two selections are the same because the both have the same characters and it is almost the same destination they are both very interesting to read and they both tie hand in hand.

Im Comparing and Contrasting the train ride to a wagon ride have a wagon , Esperanza and Miguel are children right now and maybe the wagon could be long, short or any kind. And it could be both of their first time sitting in a wagon and train. And both of them could be similar because Esperanza first say let's go on the train and then Miguel say OK and then they go and then after that probably Miguel say can we go on the wagon.

The train ride and the wagon ride are the similar because Esperanza is going back to that train station in Zacatecas. The wagon ride is meant for Esperanza and her Mama to escaped the wrath of Tio Luis but the train ride she took when she was a little kid was to reward Miguel for saving Esperanza.

the rides are similar because they got to have fruit . Also Miguel and esperanza got to go Zacateca .The rides are different because she had space to sit and no bandits around.those are some similarities and differences on the ride stocking school

  33. The train ride and the wagon ride are similar because they were both traveling to somewhere and they both need people to be working it .The difference between the train ride and the wagon ride is that the train ride is like a machine and a wagon ride is not a machine and a train has lots of room and a wagon doesn’t have much room.

  34. The train ride that Esperanza and Miguel went on when they were young is different from the wagon ride that Esperanza is in because on the wagon she is in a small compartment in between the floors of the wagon with Mama and Hortensia instead of being in a fancy train with leather seats. The train ride is also different from the wagon ride because it's dark outside so she can’t wave at people and Papa is not there with her.

  35. Im comparing that the train ride it’s fast but sometimes when some people when they get on the train you have to buy but not the wagon. And also sometimes the train can almost go anywhere. Now i'm going to be talking about the wagon. Wagon’s are slow and they can’t really go fast only down the hill. One thing I like about and not you don’t have to buy a ticket and with the wagon you can’t go no where.

  41. The train ride Esperanza and Miguel had when they were kids and the wagon ride when they are fleeing El Rancho de los Rosa are same and different. They are same because the wagon ride is like the train ride because they both move. 45. The trip ride was different by the train because in the wagon it was dark and in the train it maybe been not dark because there were windows and that the place that Esperanza was in was a small place that she was not comfortable that she feel that she couldn’t breath. The comparison of the train ride and the wagon ,at the train ride it was good with dad when he was there but at the wagon papa was not so that's the comparison and differences.

  47. The first train ride was different from the second train ride because the first time was with papa and Miguel with Esperanza. the second time was with mama , Hortensia, Alfanso and Miguel with Esperansa and they were poor on the second train ride on the first ride they were rich. Now papa is dead they are not rich any more. the only reason they went on the train again is because they are running away from Tio'luis. Also they are running away from bandets. Also they were wearing old ragged clothes.

  48. When Pa was still alive Pa promised Miguel he would go on a train ride for saving his prized possession. They got on the cart with the nice leather seats with the fancy people ,that give you full meals. Miguel had lots of fun especially with Esperanza and Pa. They were so happy jumping up and down in the leather seats well eating candy. and last they were almost dazzling in beautiful clean cloths.

Unlike the train ride with Pa they were trying to escaping from the uncles. It said the cart was filled with filthy peasants . The cart was dirty and smelled like rotted fruit .They had to be seated on cold hard wooden benches and sometimes the had to stand. And they had gross close that don't even fit. And finally last Miguel was finally opening up to Esperanza.

  61. The train ride Esperanza took with Miguel as kids was different than when they were fleeing from El Rancho de Las Rosas because when they were kids they were really rich and the train was comfortable had full meals the train was clean and had fancy rich people on the train and sometimes they even went for fun.Unlike the train ride trying to hide from Tio Luis it was really dirty full of poor dirty people they did not get full meals with not pleasant smells those people did not have lots of money. The train was nasty.Esperanza was not used to get things from not known people and now she is poor she does. Esperanza said that poor people were peasants and now since she's poor she is also a peasant her mom said. Those are some similarities and some differences between when they were little and now.

  62. When Esperanza was rich, she had a blue silk dress and the seats of the chairs in the train were a soft leather. They saw Miguel standing at the station. He was wearing a bow tie and practically shined as if Hortensia has cleaned and starched his entire body. When the waiter came and asked if there was anything he could bring them, Esperanza said, "Yes, please bring us lunch now." The waiters were dressed really fancy and they smiled at papa. Her papa held her and Miguel's hand as this happened a long time ago on their first train ride.

On their next train ride years later, they were fleeing because their home had been burnt down and they were afraid of Esperanza's uncles. Esperanza was rude on her second trip because she did not fully understand the new life style ahead of them. She is now poor and they were on the train with poor people. A girl wanted her doll and she snatched it away. Esperanza said, "No" because it was all she had left from her dad. Mom felt sorry for the girl and made her a yarn doll. When it was their stop, she waved good bye and left. Esperanza felt shamed and wanted to say sorry and she did and then they left.

But the train their on now smells really bad and it has trash on the floor and it has wooded benches. When Esperanza sat down she faced the window. A little girl sitting on the bench across from Esperanza. the little girl ran to Esperanza's doll and Esperanza shrugged the doll away from her. then the little girl and her mom left with a doll that was made out of tread.
