Beginning in November, all 5th grade students in Grand Rapids Public Schools will be reading this book and blogging about their reading experience. There will be questions posed to the students, posts written and shared from different classrooms and four "Great Days of Blogging". The final celebration will be held with a visit from the author in March 2016.
why did you include tio luis in the story? and why did you make him so devious? you know how at the end you included authors note who was tio luis to you in real life because just like esperanza was named after your grandmother who was tio luis your uncle or your brother or grandpa who was he to you
If the author were to come to my school right now I would ask her, why did she make the title Esperanza Rising? And why did papa die that way and one more, why did Tio Luis wasn't included in the end and in the middle only in the beginning?
