Beginning in November, all 5th grade students in Grand Rapids Public Schools will be reading this book and blogging about their reading experience. There will be questions posed to the students, posts written and shared from different classrooms and four "Great Days of Blogging". The final celebration will be held with a visit from the author in March 2016.

Hello Family,
In the story Esperanza Rising what are some text structures you are noticing? Explain why knowing the text structure is important when reading a story?
some text structures that i have passed in the book Esperanza rising would be problem and solution because on chapter Los Esparragos a.k.a asparagus Marta wanted something better for her daughter because they kicked them out of the camp for striking so Marta dressed up as one of the workers and headed to mexico to give a message to Abuleta so the problem was getting kicked out of camp and the solution was to go to mexico. janiyah soule from campus
