    1. I agree with you because people are very cruel today and they don't try to change there behavior when they do bad things to other people and other people can get seriously hurt and injured and might die or lose there family and some people will feel sad about that and people that kill other people should not do it again people they should not have to deal with that.

  3. Marta and the Strikers want better working conditions. For example on page 134 Josefina says "That, and they want more money, especially for those who pick cotton". A situation in society I want to change is: I want equality for all people. It doesn't matter about their skin color, it matters about their actions. I wish people wouldn't think they're better than anyone else because we are all equal.

  4. Marta and the strikers wanted to make changes because they wanted better conditions and more money.I know that because in the text it says on page 134,that they wanted to strike for better houses and more money for those who pick cotton. If I could change something in the world it would be kids dropping out of school. The reason I would want to change that is because kids and teens need their education. So if they drop out of school then that means that they cant get their education.

  5. Martha and the strikers wanted to change conditions for the workers. I want to change something to.
If I was able to change something it would be how people live.Homeless people would have homes and food.Just like in Esperanza on page 134 it talked about how people where striking for better houses, not only did it say that but it also said that people were striking for more money to take care of their families. I would also change how homeless people don't have money .I would give the homeless enough money to get their needs taken care of. That is what I would do if I could change something.

  6. Marta and the strikers wanted to change conditions for the workers, and I would like a change to .You can see this on page 134.Slavery has ended but people are still discriminating others because of there skin color and that's what I would like to change.I would like to change people discriminating one another because people like Martin Luther King Jr and Rosa Parks helped us gain our rights as citizens, and we are using our freedom to discriminate against others. That is what I would like changed. 7. Marta and the strikers wanted some things to change. They wanted to change working conditions, how much money they get, and better cabins.I know that because it said on 134 "They are striking for better cabins and more money." I want to change something too. I want the homeless to have a home instead of camping outside or having to sleep on the hard ground. I want them to have a well paid job and have their own house. Every time I go down town there's always a lot of homeless people laying on the ground. I feel so bad for them. I just want it all to change.

  8. If I was to change something it would be a little like Marta. How she was striking for more pay and to be treated the same way as all the other workers.
Something I would change is that there would be no more gangs. I want to change this because people are being shoot by gangs. I think people are doing this because they feel bad about them selves, so they want others to feel more pain than them.

  9. Marta and the strikers wanted to change the conditions by getting more money.I know this because it's on page 134, and it says" They want to strike for better houses and more money for the people that pick cotton".They only get 7 cents a pound for picking cotton but they want 10 cents a pound.

The change I would like to see is the Flint water conditions, because it has lead in it.The kids that drink the water will have a hard time learning what they need to.The kids will get sick and their brains will not work how they used to before. My name is Dakota Davis and the school I go to is Mulick Park.

  10. Marta and the strikers wanted a change because they wanted more money for their family and the workers. Also Marta wanted more food and clothing I found that on page 134. If I had to change something I would change how people treat each other. People are still back on, I don't like you because you're this color. I mean come on its two thousand and sixteen.

  11. Marta and the strikers wanted to change the conditions because on page 134 it says
''They want better house, and more money.''
The strikers need to help their family .They were picking cotton and getting 7 cents a pound. If I could change it I was going to give them better houses and more money 21cents a pound is what I would give them.
    Found all on pages 135-136

  12. Marta and the strikers want to change the conditions for the workers. If I were to change the conditions I would change the amount of money they get every day. They only get about 50 cents a day! They work so hard for so little!
I would change this to ONE DOLLAR! If they get one dollar every day they would be able to gain money very quickly.when Esperanza was talking about trying to get Abuelita she would be able to get her herself instead of Miguel because she got one dollar every day!

  13. Marta and the strikers wanted to make a change because they wanted to have better houses ,and they also wanted to be paid more for the cotton they picked. They only get 7 cents a pound for the cotton they picked ,so that's why Marta and the strikers wanted to make a change.I know this information because I got it out of the text on page 134.

In society I would change bullying because people can be shut down because of the words people say to them. That's why I want to change bullying. Bullying makes you do very ,very bad things .

  16. Marta and the strikers wanted to change conditions for the workers, and I would like a change as well.I want people in government to stop putting money before the people. For example in Flint they have lead in their water and Governor Snyder wanted to save money instead of helping them.I noticed that the government likes to save money more than helping people. That is what I want to change.

  17. The changes I would like is for people to stop the racism, and all the rudeness like kids say " You're ugly, you stink, you're weird." These are some things kids say to each other. On page 134 Marta and the strikers wanted to get paid more. Also the strikers want better houses.Mulick Park Elementary

  20. The strikers and Marta were striking for days and they want more money because they cant feed their family.I would like to change Flint's water conditions. The nasty water is called lead water. Why I would like to change that is because kids can't go to school if they are sick, and it is hard for them to learn and its bad for them.

  22. Marta wanted to change conditions for the workers because on page 134 it says," They want to strike for better houses?"asked Esperanza.
" That and more money for those who pick cotton," said Josefina." They only get seven cent a pound for picking cotton. They want ten cents a pound. It seems like such a small price to pay, but in the past, the growers said, "No,"and now, more people are coming to the valley to look for work, especially from places like Oklahoma, where there is little work, little rain, and little hope.If the Mexicans strike, the big farms will simply hire others. Then what would we do]?"
If I were a striker I would strike for better water for Flint because children and adults have gotten very sick and can't function, and can't learn on their own.

If I were a striker I would strike for some of the Grand Rapids police and some citizens of Grand Rapids to have better relationships.

  26. Marta and the strikers chose to strike because they wanted better housing and more money for their families. If I were to change something it will be ISIS in Iraq. The reason I chose to try to stop ISIS is because they destroyed a lot of Iraq's statues. Then they started to kill innocent people.
