Beginning in November, all 5th grade students in Grand Rapids Public Schools will be reading this book and blogging about their reading experience. There will be questions posed to the students, posts written and shared from different classrooms and four "Great Days of Blogging". The final celebration will be held with a visit from the author in March 2016.

Esperanza was upset when that event time place,because he was taking her father's place and coming in like nothing when he used to completely ignore her.

i think they did kill papa, because Tio Luis is thinking about running for major and Ramona is a respected person so maybe he killed papa so he would get a better chance of her saying yes.Gabriela from Campus

Tyson Bobo from campus elementary yes i can infer that be cause when papa died he had a lot to do with trying to make a relationship with mama and he did not do that when papa was alive
What can you compare and contrast about Esperanza and Isabel?I can compare Esperanza and Isabel. To me Esperanza and Isabel are the not the same in fact to me i think there very different because Isabel is used to things that Esperanza cant do or never did like cleaning a baby's diaper. Something the same about them is now there both poor or as they call it rags
