Beginning in November, all 5th grade students in Grand Rapids Public Schools will be reading this book and blogging about their reading experience. There will be questions posed to the students, posts written and shared from different classrooms and four "Great Days of Blogging". The final celebration will be held with a visit from the author in March 2016.

ReplyDeleteFrom Ken-O-Sha (not Kenosha!)
ReplyDeleteThe story occurs in Mexico at El Rancho de Rosas. El Rancho de Rosas has a large vineyard and also many other animals. The vineyard has slopes and small hills, and the ranch is surrounded by mountains on three sides and a large hill on one. It happens in 1930. Esperanza's family was very rich, but they also helped other people by giving them land, food and a job.
-Daphne
